Challenge Series - Travessia do Vale do Vouga 170km, 11 de Julho

Só Posso falar bem desta grande aventura.

Isto pq fui com AMIGOS (REMI, LENA, FUNRIDE) do melhor que há. Muito tiveram eles de esperar por mim....mas mesmo assim a nossa média foi bem alta para 180KMs e cerca de 1900metros de acumulado.

E que tipo de acumulado.....logo o meu calcanhar de aquiles......os Falsos Planos......a perder de vista.
Era de tal forma que eram quilometros a pedalar em Subidas muito dissimuladas, a ritmos impróprios para cardiacos....isto até as pernas começarem a ficar cansadas.....altura em que tive de abrandar um pouco.
Mas tal como as subidas as descidas eram tão pouco pronunciadas que se não pedalassemos as bikes desciam muito devagar....logo até nas descidas iamos sempre a prego.
Ainda gostava de saber a que velocidades chegamos a ir, mas até em alguns terrenos menos soft passavamos a voar. (acho que em grande parte+30KM/H)

A chegada a Viseu foi dura mas Fabulosa!!!! Deu para perceber que aquilo é um Paraiso de BTT, Trilhos para todos os Gostos, e até muito muito Técnicos....Muito BOM!

A cerca de 60kms a Cassete desapertou....e tive de ter cuidados redobrados para não dar cabo do material....até porque a Bike não era minha.
Este imprevisto foi resolvido em Viseu na SportZone, depois de um magnifico Almoço.

A volta foi mais intima, pois já não iamos em grandes grupos, e fomos nós os quatro.....até pq eu já estava meio empenado. (O que vale é que os meus empenos permitem-me fazer 85Kms). Estes Grandes AMIGOS, tiveram a paciencia de esperar por mim......mas ainda assim pude dar-lhes o prazer de um picanços ao longo de todo o regresso.

No Final....ao chegarmos de novo á ciclovia....estiquei-me demais---pois pensava que já faltava muito pouco......e Gastei as pilhas todas....que já vinham em gestão á algum tempo. Aí tive mesmo de ir ao ralenti até á "meta", mas Cheguei!

Resumo, Paisagens Lindas!!!! E um percuso a repetir em modo Turismo.....com direito a mergulhos no Rio.

Desta vez...como a Epic já estava empacotada para ir para a Austria, o FUNRIDE...tanto me queria enganar que até colocou a sua MDE Slider á minha Disposição.
Básicamente BTT em Rigida só fiz nos primeiros 6 Meses que fiquei com este vicio......e fui logo meter-me a fazer 180KM de Rigida de SCANDIUM.
Foi uma bela surpesa!!!!
A Bicicleta é muito facil de se levar, muito agil....e espantosamente confortavel!!! Não é uma Molinhas.....mas não fica muito atrás. Só perde em zonas de Calhau....muito muito técnicas.
Acho que grande parte do conforto se deveu ao Selim.....fiquei fã!!!!! Será o Próximo!....quando o actual pedir a reforma.
A Posição não é tão de ataque como a EPIC (que até parece que puxa por nós para pedalarmos mais e mais), mas é um excelente Compromisso.....até pq a bike parece uma BMX...e tem mesmo muita genica por ser curtinha.

Ainda não vos disse......mas desta vez eu e o FunRIDE fizemos jus ao movimento Penetra:
1-Não nos inscrevemos.....aparecemos.
2-Aparecemos para lá da Meia Noite.....Já estavam quase todosa dormir
3-Ainda andamos a mudar o Pneu da Slider
4-Dormimos debaixo de uma Discoteca(deu para curtir o SOM....A Porrada.....e a malta a bater com as cadeiras no Chão). O que vale é que por volta das 2, 3H da manhã parou.
5-Na manhã seguinte....pedimos emprestado ás escondidas uns Dorsais.
6-Enquanto aguardavamos pelo inicio toda a gente nos perguntava onde era a secretaria....e nós como verdadeiros Penetra, davamos as indicações como se fossemos da organização. EHEH
7-Só soube disto no inicio do Passeio.....mas parece que isto foi só organizado no ForumBTT......e eu era o unico Cromo com o Jersey do ProjectoBTT. LOLOL....Tambem não ligo nenhuma as estas picardias e clubismos......Mas ainda me senti mais um verdadeiro Penetra.

Mas o que posso dizer é que a Sensação que tive desta Prova é que foi um EPIP do Melhor que pode haver (EPIP- Extreme PIP)
Definitivamente a Organização está Absolutamente de Parabens!

Para Acabar em Beleza fomos Assaltados por um Leitão na Mealhada.....que ainda deu luta......e acabou Comido......mas ainda assim foi-nos á Carteira.....e ficamos mais Leves para fazer o regresso a Casa.

Como não tinha dormido nada na noite anterior....após o jantar ainda tentei ir a fazercompanhia ao FUN, mas era impossivel...o sono era tanto que pedi desculpa e Apaguei. Detesto fazer isto....mas de facto não conseguia estar acordado.

E assim acabou o meu Treino para o Salzkammergut.

Nota: A LENA foi a sensação do dia.....ainda se fartou de empenar cavalões, e cá atrás no Pelotão todos diziam que a rapariga era Maluca.
O que metia mais piada.....é que por vezes o REMI e o FUNRIDE, disparavam e o Pelotão ficava todo para Trás!!!! É impressionante o nivel em que esta malta está!


I can only speak well of this great adventure.

First because I was with some of the best friends there are(REMI, LENA, FUNRIDE). Much had they to wait for me .... but anyway our average was very high for 180KMs and about 1900 meters accumulated climb.

And What kind of climb ..... just my Achilles heel: the False plans everywhere, whenever your sight could reach. all the way.
Was such that we cycle Kms and Kms where the climb was almost unnoticeable but it was there, at rhythms not advisable to the heart fainted.... until the legs started getting tired ..... when I had to slow down a bit.
But because the climbs the declines were very little pronounced, we always had keep on pedaling otherwise the bikes would slowdown too much .... so we went all the way at full steam.
I wonder which speeds we got. Even in harder terrain we passed flying like hell. (I think largely over 30 KM/H)

The arrival in Viseu was hard but fabulous! We could realize that it is a paradise for mountain biking, trails for all tastes, and even very very technical .... Very Good!

At about 60kms .... the cassette got loose and I had to take extra care not to blow the material .... because the bike wasn't mine.
This was resolved in SportZone in Viseu, after a magnificent Lunch.

The return to Albergaria was more intimate, because no longer we were going in large groups, and we were the four because ..... I was half fledged. (What counts is that my reserve leg batteries lasted some extra 85Kms). These great friends, had the patience to wait for me ...... but I still gave them the pleasure of some sprints throughout the return.

In the end .... when we got to the cycle path I pushed to hard....because I thought we were near the finish ...... and .... I dried all the batteries that had been in management mode for some time. Then I had to go very slowly until the finish line that was far than I expected....., but I did it!

Abstract: Beautiful Landscape! And I'll return to repeat this course in a slower ..... entitled to dive in River next time.

This time ... because my bike was already packed to go to Austria, FUNRIDE ... insist so much in my presence that he even put the MDE Slider at my disposal.
Basically, I only did hard tail MTB in the first 6 months that I have this addiction ...... and I was soon put me to the 180KM of SCANDIUM hard tail.
It was a beautiful surprise!
The bike is very easy to use, very agile and .... amazingly comfortable! Not a full suspension ..... but is not far behind. Just lost in areas with more stones .... very very technical.
I think this comfort was largely due to the seat ..... I'm now a Selle Italia fan !!!!! !.... Next Time I need to buy a seat it will be a Selle Italia SLR.
The position in this bike is not as an attack such as EPIC (which seem to pull for us to ride more and more), but is an excellent compromise ..... it almost looks like a BMX bike ... because it is such a short bike.

I haven't told you this before...... but this time we did have done justice to the movement Penetra:
1-We didn't booked .....just appeared.
2-We appeared after Midnight ..... Everyone were almost sleeping
3-We had to change the tire of the Slider, in the middle of the night
4-slept under a disco (Listenning the Music.... ..... and the guys hit the floor with the chairs). What counts is that around 2, 3 am the party stopped.
5-The next morning .... we took some event Id's to put on the bikes.
6-Before the beginning everyone asked us where was the office .... and we as a true Penetra, we helped those people to go to the organization office. EHEH
7-I only knew this at the beginning of the tour ..... but it seems that this was the only organized ForumBTT ...... and I was the only one with the ProjectoBTT Jersey. LOLOL .... I don't care for these club fights ...... But I still felt more like real Penetra.

But I can say is that I had a feeling this even is the Best EPIP that there may be (EPIP-Extreme PIP)
Definitely the organization of this even deserves our congratulations!

To End in Beauty we were robbed by a piglet in Mealhada .....it still gave a fight, but ended eaten ...... ...... and yet it took our wallets, and so we went lighter back home.

Since I had not slept the night before ....after dinner I even tried to keep myself awake during all the voyage, but it was impossible ...I was so tired I had to sleep and I blacked out. I hate doing this. Sorry Funride.

And so ended my training for the Salzkammergut.

Note: LENA was the sensation of the day ..... she tired all the strongest guys in the Platoon, and on the back of the platoon everyone was saying that the girl was crazy, going at those speeds.
Funnier was that sometimes REMI and FUNRIDE fired up the turbo, and the whole Platoon was completely left behind by them! It is amazing the level that these guys are.
