Salzkammergut Trophy - 18JUL09

Apenas posso dizer uma coisa:Valeu cada cêntimo.

Paisagens Inacreditaveis!!! Aquela gente vive no Paraiso.
Apesar de não termos feito a desejada Travessia de Munique a Bad Goisern..... Esta Opção acabou por ser a melhor, uma vez que no dia do Diluvio da Maratona, já tinhamos calcorreado praticamente grande parte dos trilhos......tendo apenas faltado uma subida que tenho pena de não ter feito.

Para terem uma ideia.....50KMs com 1400M de acumulado são um Empeno! Algo estranho uma vez que é o que habitualmente treino em Sintra com o DID.....só que ali as Subidas em vez de 4KMs têm 10KMs ininterruptos logo para aquecer e onde metemos 1000Metros de Acumulado de uma Só vez, e as descidas o mesmo......é Espectacular.....mas até a descer cansa os Braços e os Pulsos.
Imaginem subidas que duram mais de uma Hora.............Várias Subidas!!!!

Mas Caramba.....Chegar aqueles topos.....e ver a imponencia dos Alpes, e umas Cabanas perdidas no Monte sem Electricidade, onde se Come e Bebe numa esplanada com Vistas Fabulosas......Vale cada Pedalada!

Toda a Gente pedala naquele País....é Maravilhoso!!!!Desde os 3 Anos (Literalmente a participarem na Mini Maratona Junior), até aos 80 Anos (cruzamo-nos com muitos grupos acima dos 60 Anos, com uma vitalidade de fazer inveja)
Inclusivé encontramos um Casal e respectivo Filho de cerca de 7 ou 10 Anos, no topo da Montanha a almoçarem na famosa cabana de Huteneck. (e se putos desta idade sobe até ali.....imaginem .....o pedaladão de qualquer um deles.....quando crescem.)

E depois há os Lagos........Caramba.....só me vem á mente a palavra PARAÍSO!!!!!! Lagos Lindos!!!! Casa a beira dos Lagos.....Casas sobre os Lagos........Barcos á Vela...............mas tudo de tal forma tão equilibrado e tão Lindo.....que parecem Quadros autenticos......rodeados de montanhas BRUTAIS!!!! Abruptas!!!!que quem olha cá de baixo diz que é impossivel ir até lá acima.....e no entanto dentro das mesmas esconde-se um Mundo de Trilhos, Singles.....estradões.......(é só escolher) no meio de uma Floresta Magnifica (sem uma Ponta de Eucaliptos), e Chega-se até ao topo ou Quase.

Todos os Rios e Lagos com uma Agua tão cristalina que é incrivel!!!!

Fico pasmado como é que é feita uma gestão florestal tão perfeita!!! em Lado algum vimos serras rapadas, ou Eucalitos.....e no entanto aqui e ali viamos muitos troncos cortados, prontos para despachar......mas nunca viamos Areas todas Rapadas.....

Depois há a hospitalidade das pessoas:
Para terem uma Ideia....chegamos á estação de Bad Goisern, com as Bikes encaixotadas......e não sabiamos onde era a pensão....pois um velhote que tinha ido buscar a Irmã á estação que tambem chegarade viagem.....logo se aprontou para levar as Bikes todas no Carro e nós inclusivé....mesmo que para isso tenha dito á Irmã para ficar á espera dele na estação....
Desde a Pensão onde ficamos (onde até ficava á conversa com uma senhora de 92 anos com uma Lucidez e cultura de ficar pasmado.) e mais as pessoas da pensão sempre prestaveis e que fizeram por nós muito mais que o que lhes competia.
A Malta (as meninas lindas) toda as organização do Salzkamergut Trophy, que desde o primeiro minutos nos receberam de braços abertos, onde nada faltou, e onde assisti a uma organização quase perfeita!!!
As meninas do restaurante com quem nos metia-mos e que sempre dava para dar boas gargalhadas, tanto para um lado como para o outro.
Os Gelados da Praxe depois do Jantar......ou a qualquer hora
O Jantar da ultima noite com o Melo e a Sandra Que gente tão fantástica e Simpatica!


Esta Semana para mim foi mais que a conta:
180KMs - Travessia do Vouga
mais para aí uns 500KMs na Austria....com direito a uma tirada de 150KMs (ida e volta de Bad Goisern a Salzburgo).

No dia da Maratona estava um diluvio e temperaturas muito baixas........como o DID bem o disse....não desejo voltar a repetir a experiencia de Alcains no Ano passado......em que tive de levar com temps negativas, Granizo....., como já tinha visto grande parte do que havia para ver.....fiquei na Caminha.
Não tinha Pneus para aquele tipo de trilhos.....nem para Seco ....quanto mais para Molhado. E Longe de Casa.....o Risco é demasiado elevado.

Há um Milhão de coisas para dizer.....acreditem.....foi inesquecivel. Mas o que interessa é que voltamos todos são e Salvos a casa (Inc. as Bikes), com uma magnifica experiência, e com vontade de voltar aos Alpes.
Da proxima vez a MORZINE com um certo AMIGO!

I can only say one thing: That is was worth every single cent.
Incredible Landscapes! Those people live in paradise.
Although we have not made the desired crossing from Munich to Bad Goisern ..... This option has been the best, since in the day of the Marathon, we had virtually made most of the trails ...... and only missed a climb that I regret not having done.
To give you an idea ..... 50 KMs with 1400m of climb is a real challenge! Something strange, as it is what I usually trained in Sintra with DID ..... the only difference is the way that in Salzkammergut the climbs lenghts rather than 4 KMs, have 10 KMs uninterrupted, just for starters and we get 1000 Meters accumulated climb at once, even going downhill it is Great ........... but even downhill you get tired arms, because they downhills are so long.
Imagine climbs lasting more than an hour!
But wow ..... ..... Reaching those tops of the mountains and see the magnificence of the Alps, and some lost mountain huts without electricity, where we can sit and eat and drink in a terrace with fantastic landscape views...... !
Everyone ride everywhere ... it is Wonderful! Since the 3 years old kids (literally participating in the Mini Marathon Junior), up to 80 Years seniors (we met many groups over 60 years, with such a vitality that it made me envy)
Included were a couple and their son of about 7 or 10 years, on top of a mountain hut for lunch at the famous Huteneck. (and if kids that age ride until there ..... ..... imagine the how they will be..... when grown.)
And then there are the lakes ........ Wow ..... it only comes to mind the word PARADISE !!!!!! Beautiful Lakes! Along the Lake some Houses ..... ........ Houses on Lake, Sail Boats ............... but everything so balanced and so so beautiful that seems a painting ..... ...... surrounded by mountains, that One who looks up from its bottom thinks it is impossible to go over there ..... and yet within it is hidden a world of trails and single tracks..... ..... .. (you just have to choose which one). all this in a magnificent forest (without any Eucalyptus), and reach up to the top or almost.
The water in the rivers and lakes is unbelievably so crystalline!
I am astonished on such perfect forest management! There aren´t any totally destroyed forest or Eucalyptus..... and yet here and there saw many trees cut, ready to ship ...... but never saw any totally cleaned forest areas......
Then there is the hospitality of the people:
To have an idea .... we arrived at the station of Bad Goisern with our bikes still packed ...... and we did not knew where the pension was. Then an old man .... he had gone to fetch his Sister at the railway station..... readily offered to take us and the bikes on his Car .... even his sister had to wait for him a little while longer at the station ....
From the hotel where stood (where I talked several times with a 92 year old lady with such a clear mind and culture, that impressed me), to the hotel staff that was always helpful.
All the persons (beautiful ladies) of Salzkamergut Trophy staff, which has received us with open arms since the first minute, where nothing was missing, and where I saw an almost perfect event!
The girls in the restaurant with whom we have always had good laughs to give to each other.
Ice cream for the usual after dinner or at any time ......
The Dinner of last night with Melo and Sandra. What a nice and fantastic couple!
This Week for me was more than the enough:
180KMs - Crossing the Vouga
plus.... 500KMs in Austria entitled to one day 150KMs trip (round trip of Bad Goisern to Salzburg).
On the day of Marathon was a deluge and very low temperatures. Like DID ........ well said before .... I did not wanted to repeat the experience of Alcains last year that had also negative temperatures, and ice showers ....., as I had seen most of what there was to see ..... I stood all the morning in my warm bed.
I didn't had tires for that kind of track in dry conditions, much less for Wet conditions. And far away from home ..... the risk was too high.
There are a million things to say ..... ..... believe me it was unforgettable. But what matters is that everyone is back and safe (the Bikes Inc.) with a great experience, and willing to return to the Alps.
Next time the MORZINE with my friend Funride.
Believe me ........ Worth's every penny.
